About Paige Hayes

Hi! I’m Paige Hayes. I am an Interior Designer and owner of Hayes & Co. design company, and I have more than 10 years of design experience working through the ins and outs of the design world.
Here’s the fun part. My family and I decided to leap into something new this past year. We sold our home, and journeyed to Alaska! Being that I was slightly remote for my industry, I decided to start Hayes & Co. with the intention of creating a design model that can be completed 100% remotely. In doing so I have created a space for homeowners that want the help of interior design, but it’s out of reach due to budget.
I have always loved doing STR design because there is so much more room for creativity, and I’m a storyteller at heart. In order to further my knowledge on real estate investment and design, I dove deep into the STR world, following Facebook groups, design boards, and more. And wow, this market is booming. But, I also found that in the past few years, market saturation has become a real thing, and with people’s travel habits changing, this wasn’t the easy money-maker that it was before. Bookings are no longer a given.
But! I know there is a surefire remedy to this. You need to set your listing apart from the competition. And the easiest and most reliable way to do this is through design. When it comes to what guests want in a property, good design and everything it entails wins. Every. Single. Time.
Here are some of the things I have learned about this industry.
- Hosts want a good design for their properties, but don’t have the resources or knowledge to start.
- Many people understand the importance of design but don’t have the budget to hire a designer.
- Many designers have the plan to launch multiple STRs, and are interested in learning as much as possible themselves so they can execute and replicate their designs throughout their properties.
- There are clear gaps in information. I see the same design mistakes made over and over again.
- Most people think that low budget and low quality go hand in hand.
And so, I decided it was time to share my knowledge. It’s my goal and passion to teach hosts how to create magazine-worthy listings themselves.
